Light Day Away asks for as little as possible: your email address, only if you choose to give it. No account, no cookies, no advertising trackers.

What we collect and why

• Your email address, if you fill in the “Get notified” form: only to tell you when the beta opens and when the game is released. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Technical logs of the host (Netlify): like every website, the server briefly records technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages and protect them against abuse. We do not use them to follow you.

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools.

Who receives it

• Netlify hosts this website and stores the form entries. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
• We never sell or share your email with anyone else.

How long

Your email is kept until you unsubscribe, and at the latest 12 months after the game’s release. Every email we send has a one-click way to unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hello@lightdayaway.com. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
